Terry
Allen
Terry Allen and her husband, Jeff,
have lived in Buena Vista for almost 22 years. They
have an awesome family of 5 children, 1 son-in-law,
1 granddaughter and another grandchild due in November.
Terry was a registered nurse for several years before
laying that aside to stay at home full time and raise
our her family. She has volunteered many times with
the Pregnancy Center in Grand Junction, Buena Vista
and Salida. She has trained as a counselor and has worked
with Education for Life as well as doing office help
at the BVPC. Terry is such a huge believer in the mission
of the Pregnancy Center, because it is so important
to support and educate people who find themselves in
a crisis pregnancy, and to show them the love of the
Heavenly Father who has given us all life.

Guy Avery I was born in 1954 in Salida, and except for a number of years in college, and some brief periods of employment elsewhere, I have lived in this community. I have an older sister, a younger sister, and a younger brother. My wife, Connie and I have been married for 35 years. We have one son, Brandon, his wife, Kristi, and their son Jackson, who may be the neatest little individual ever!
I have been employed at ComFurt Gas, Inc. for 32 years. Connie is the person in charge of payroll at the Buena Vista School District. Brandon, Kristi, and Jackson live in Fort Collins.
We attend Clearview Community Church, and are very active in the ministry there. |

William (Bill) Calhoun
It is my pleasure to be of service to this wonderful organization. I have progressed from “Do what is asked,” to becoming a member of the board. I have, evidently, been born to serve. In addition to my work with the BVPC, I am a member and deacon of Valley Fellowship Church. I work also regularly with the St. Vincent Ambulance Corps, primarily involved in the transfer of patients to various hospitals in surrounding cities. My most valuable task is to serve the Lord whenever and wherever possible. |

Amy
Creek
Amy Creek comes to the Pregnancy
Center after moving to the area three years ago. Her
husband, Kevin, is working full-time building houses
with Amy's dad while Amy does the painting. They have
one outgoing and energetic four-year-old son, Cody.
Amy gave her life to God many years ago and currently
attends ClearView Community Church. Amy's heart for
saving babies came after she lost her first child to
miscarriage. She wanted to find a way to come alongside
women but had no counseling background. She does, however,
have clerical and business skills which indirectly allows
her to help mothers through the BVPC Board. It is her
wish that God shows these women that babies are a most
precious gift and should be given a chance at life.

Tim Dyer
I am Tim Dyer and have lived in Buena Vista for 43 years . I am married and have two children ages 27 and 26 . Both were adopted from South Korea. My son was 4 months old and my daughter was 8 months old when we adopted them. They are the best thing that we could have ever imagined . They are
part of the reason I have joined the team at the center. I feel adoption is a great alternative for women who do not want to abort but feel they have no choice. There are many couples that can not have children naturally that are waiting to adopt . The other reason I wanted to be a part of this team is they all love the Lord and His desire to honor the life that he gives. We want women to know that there are options and we are here to help.

Deb
Kuennen
Since retiring from the United States Air Force after
20 years service in 1999, Deb has spent the last 10 years
working as a “stay at home Mom” and serving
her local community in a variety of volunteer positions.
One of the most rewarding was her association with the
Gabriel Project in College Station, TX. This program is
similar to the mission of the BVPC and helps women in
crisis pregnancies. Following her husband’s retirement
from the Air Force, Deb, Steve and their two sons moved
to Buena Vista Labor Day Weekend 2007. Although relatively
new to the area, she and her family have quickly become
involved in the local community and their church, St Rose
of Lima. She is excited to serve the Buena Vista Pregnancy
Center as a member of its board and to assist in furthering
its goal of reaching out to and supporting women and couples
as they “choose life”. |

Julie Little
Julie Little and her husband Ben both grew up in Buena Vista and are now blessed to be raising their own family of three children in a place that they love dearly. Julie has taught at Darren Patterson Christian Academy and now teaches online classes for Johns Hopkins University as well as doing some online editing. Julie served as a volunteer counselor at a pregnancy center while in school in Ohio. She believes strongly in the mission and vision of the BVPC and is committed to help in any way she can to bring hope, help and healing to young families. |

Candy Willut
Candy and Jim, her husband of 34 years, moved to Buena Vista from New Jersey in 2003. She spent her working years providing planning, financial, and computer services to non-profits and churches, both as a staff person and a volunteer. The Willuts feel incredibly blessed to live in Buena Vista and as early retirees are committed to using their skills to serve this very special community. The ministry of BVPC is close to their hearts, because Jim, his siblings and three cousins were all adopted. My family wouldn’t exist if their young mothers hadn’t had the courage to choose life! |
