Fourth
of July Float:
Don’t miss your opportunity to join the fun as children, moms and dads, grandmoms and granddads, and moms-and-dads-to-be celebrate July 4 in Buena Vista. The annual parade is a community favorite along with the BVPC float, which is packed with smiling and energized youngsters eager to be on center stage.
With bags of candy, sunscreen, and water bottles in hand, dozens of little ones and watchful adults will delight onlookers as the lovingly handcrafted float makes its way down Main Street. Watch for candy-throwing competitions between the boys, the faster and farther, the better. And calculate how many pieces of the sweet stuff are eaten before any candy reaches the cheering crowd.
Buena Vista’s Old Time Independence Day celebration is a tradition that draws celebrants of all ages. Here at the BVPC, we’re counting the days until the parade. Call the BVPC if you can join in the fun. See you there!
(We can always use bags of donated candy for the children to throw)
