Colorado Summer Gardening Tips

May is a great time to aerate and fertilize your lawn. Plant cool-season grass seed. Plant your vegetables after the danger of frost has passed. Warm season crops such as tomatoes, peppers, beans, squash, cucumbers and eggplant prefer a week of at least 50 degrees or above for night time temperatures before planting. May is also a great month to check your sprinkler system.
